Chalm’s Story
Born from
restless nights
and a lacrosse bag.
Chalm started in high school, in the middle of one of the most overwhelming stretches of my life. I was deep into college lacrosse recruiting, constant communication with coaches, pressure to perform, never feeling like I could turn it off. On top of that, college applications were looming, and the anxiety had gotten loud enough that I wasn't sleeping well most nights.
I started experimenting with herbal blends, not because I had any grand plan, but because I was desperate for something that wasn’t another caffeinated drink or another alarm. I read about adaptogens, chamomile, ashwagandha, and passion flower. I started brewing combinations in my kitchen and keeping notes on what helped me wind down and start the next day feeling more like myself.
What surprised me wasn't that it worked. It was how quickly my friends wanted in. I'd bring a the teas to school and give them to friends. Chalm became a way for me to show up for the people around me to help my friends and classmates.
That impulse to share what was working is still what drives everything. I'm now studying at Mount St. Mary's University, playing Division 1 lacrosse, and building Chalm into something real. The blends are more refined, the formulations are grounded in functional herbalism, but the reason behind it hasn't changed at all.
Chalm isn't about having it all together. It's about finding small, genuine ways to take care of yourself and sharing them with the people you love. To help you live your most Chalm days.
